The Olympic runner popped the question at Strada restaurant in Melbourne’s Southbank earlier this month in front of friends and family.
‘We’re very happy,’ he told the Herald Sun on Tuesday.
The 30-year-old went on to reveal the couple will potentially tie the knot in Perth, where his fiancée is from.
The announcement comes after Bol continues preparations for the Paris Olympics in July where he has his sights set on the 800m final.
‘I’m happy with my progress. I’m happy not to compete too much at the moment and just focus on training because Europe is more important. It’s all about Paris,’ he told the publication.
Bol will attend the Grand Prix at Albert Park this weekend before heading to Europe on May 1.

In December, new Athletics Australia president Jane Flemming hit out at the handling of Bol’s drug scandal, after he embroiled in a banned substance scandal with Athletics Australia.
‘God forbid any of our other athletes have to go through the horrendous experience that Peter has gone through,’ Flemming said.
‘Definitely something was broken during that process that needs to be fixed.
‘I think a new year and an Olympics (in Paris), you need to despite what he’s been through which is as I said horrendous, but hopefully he can start to look forward rather than back,’ she said.
‘For his sake, we only ever wish him and all of our athletes success and try to clear the pathway, and make the pathway as best possible to enable that.’
Bol made his Olympic debut in 2016 and shot to prominence at the Tokyo Games, where he twice broke the national 800m record and finished fourth in the final, the best result by an Australian in the event in 53 years.
