10,000 Runners to Compete in the TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca; Only 6% Are Spanish

October 16, 2026

The TUI Palma Marathon Mallorca will celebrate this Sunday its twenty-second edition and bring together over the weekend more than 10,000 runners with a variety of races that will fill the entire weekend. The event continues to grow in the number of participants and surpasses 10,000 registered across the three distances on which it is contested, in addition to the ‘Breakfast Run’ on Saturday and Sunday. International participation is also very high, representing 94% of the total athletes, and up to 72 nationalities will be represented, among which Germans account for 52% and Britons for 18%. The half marathon is the distance with the largest number of registrations, with 5,000 in total, and 1,700 participants will complete the 42 kilometres of the main race, the marathon, with start and finish on the Paseo Marítimo. The event sold out its bibs more than six months ago and will once again serve as the Balearic Islands Marathon Distance Championship. The three distances contested are all sanctioned by the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation.
