Ferdinand Omanyala storms to victory in a Meeting Record time

Africa 100m Record holder, Ferdinand Omanyala stormed to victory in the men’s 60m at the Meeting Indoor Miramas held on Tuesday (2) at the Indoor Stadium in Miramas Métropole, France.

The 28 year-old who is also the Commonwealth Games 100m champion, dominated the race from start to finish, clocking a New National and Meeting Record of 6.52 to beat his strongest opponent, Cote d’Ivoire’s Arthur Cisse in his first race of the season.

Cameroon’s Emmanuel-Alobwede Eseme and Cisse finished in second and third place in respective time of 6.61 and 6.62.

This is Omanyala’s third season participating in the Indoor Games as he prepares for the upcoming World Indoor Championships on March 1 to 3 in Glasgow, Scotland.
